Description

I finally re-made my really old contest entry from the Fantasy Earth Zero contest on DeviantART...which was SIX YEARS AGO, I realized. Time must have sprouted wings and started flying...

I kept the motif of a witchy hat because I think they look super cute! Originally, I think I wanted to create a Sorcerer, but in the end decided on creating a Scout as I felt like I had more breadth to experiment with in design. I became fascinated with Birds of Paradise while I was watching a nature documentary and incorporated it into her design. I imagine her as a kiting type character where she moves in and out of close range skill-shot attacks. Her bright colors distract her enemies as her fast-flying arrows which are nearly invisible at their speeds pierce their armor.

I'm terrible at skill-shots, though. ;v; I have created a character that I cannot play well. Maybe add in some AOE skills so that I don't have to aim all the time.

This was my contest entry way back then.

I had no chance in hell of winning, but I was happy to attempt it anyway because it was my first dip into gaming concept art. I also didn't play very many games back then (I simply didn't have the time). But as a serial gamer now, there are definite things that I enjoy graphically in games (such as non-over-sexualized-female characters). And I also have an understanding of how the basic engineering behind most games shape the way a character behaves/looks.

Great design!
This is exactly the kind of style I'd immediately buy an RPG for. The pose is great and dynamic, the design is detailed, unique and pretty and the coloring is just amazingly clean and has a great touch to it. I love this! :squee:
